IntheafternoonofApril10th,adelegationofthreepeople,includingDeputyVice-ChancellorofUniversitiSultanZainalAbidin(UniSZA),Malaysia,MuhammadZamribinIbrahim,visitedShandongJiaotongUniversityforexchanges.KongWeijin,DeputySecretaryofthePartyCommitteeandPresidentofShandongJiaotongUniversity,andJiangHuaping,amemberofthePartyCommitteeandVicePresident,metwiththedelegation.

KongWeijinextendedawarmwelcometotheMalaysiandelegation/'svisitandprovidedadetailedintroductiontotheschool/'steachingstaffandstudentpopulation,aswellasthelandmarkachievementsmadeinrecentyearsinaspectssuchasteachingreformandscientificresearchinnovation.Hepointedoutthatthereisbroadroomforcooperationbetweenthetwosidesinthefieldofhighereducation.Hehopedthatthetwouniversitiescouldtakethissigningasanopportunitytostrengthenin-depthcooperationinthejointcultivationofpostgraduatestudents,scientificandtechnologicalinnovation,andcommonkeytechnologiesinthetransportationfield,andjointlypromoteacademicexchangesandpracticalinnovation.

JiangHuapingintroducedtheinternationaleducationsituationofouruniversityandexpressedhisexpectationthatthetwosideswouldcarryoutin-depthcooperationinaspectssuchasthedual-degreeprogram,jointcultivationofdoctoralstudents,reciprocalvisitsandexchangesofundergraduateandpostgraduatestudents,aswellasinmaritimetechnology,maritimetransportation,maritimelogistics,etc.

MohammadZamribinIbrahimexpressedhisgratitudeforthewarmreceptionbyShandongJiaotongUniversity.Hethenprovidedadetailedintroductiontothecampusconstruction,thelayoutofcoastalresearchstations,andtheschool-runningphilosophyofUniversitiMalaysiaTerengganu.Atthesametime,hesharedthebasicinformationabouttheuniversity/'steachingstaffstructure,studentcultivation,andacademicprogramofferings,andexpressedastrongwillingnessforcooperationandcommunication.

Atthemeeting,thetwouniversitiesjointlysignedtheMemorandumofCooperationAgreement,andissuedlettersofappointmentassupervisorsofdoctoralstudentstothreeprofessorsofShandongJiaotongUniversity.
